INTENSITY ZONES IN CYCLING – HOW TO MEASURE IT Workshop

"INTENSITY ZONES IN CYCLING – HOW TO MEASURE IT" workshop is part of the Indoor Cycling RIDE ON® education system and we will go deeper into the theory about effort intensity zones and how to use them in classes. You will better understand the association of intensity zones with cycling profiles and pedaling techniques, you will also go through parts of anatomy and energy systems to understand how they work. We will spend time to practically measure the intensity zones in cycling and how to interpret the results. You will deepen the connection between numbers and the perception of the body in order to build your classes better and to know what to ask from the class participants. This experience will bring you vital knowledge for your preparation as a cycling instructor.

YOU WILL LEARN

• Notions related to training methods and endurance
• Theory of intensity zones and concepts related to anatomy and energy systems
• Understands concepts related to heart rate, Borg's scale and effort thresholds
• How to measure intensity zones and how to interpret the results
• How to associate intensity with various RIDE ON cycling profiles and pedaling techniques
• About recovery and its importance
• You will practice the intensity zones and experiment with them
• How to use them in the construction of a successful class

PROGRAM

• 08:30 – 09:00  Check-in
• 09:00 – 12:00 Education – first part
• 12:00 – 13:00 Break
• 13:00 – 18:00 Education – second part

• CYCLING INSTRUCTOR COURSE FUNDAMENTALS or equivalent

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

• The course will contain theory and practice on an indoor bike
• If you want to pay the price of the course in installments, contact us.
• Students will receive educational materials in electronic format.
• It is advisable to bring everything you need to take notes when the teachers ask you to.
• Filming is not allowed: only in very special moments during the course, with the consent and supervision of the teachers.
