CYCLING INSTRUCTOR COURSE FUNDAMENTALS

The course is addressed both to group-fitness instructors who want a new specialization and to cycling class enthusiasts. The specialization complies with the general national professional standards for group training, being a branch of the aerobics-fitness instructor.

During four days, our teachers will take you through this amazing journey of indoor cycling, give you all the information you need to understand the concept and guide you on how to become a cycling instructor.

In the course you will learn about anatomy and applied biomechanics, cycling techniques, music, how to prepare and how to properly teach a cycling class, all combined with practical elements to be applied in real life.

A challenging and rewarding review of your knowledge at the end of the course will qualify you as a professional ready to begin your journey in this amazing field.

YOU WILL LEARN

• General info about bike components, set-up and safety measures,
• ABC of the Cycling Instructor (Technical Level, Communication and Connection),
• Class Profiles used in cycling classes,
• Theory of training and periodization principles,
• How to create and teach an indoor cycling class,
• Basics about Anatomy, Physiology and Biomecanics,
• Energetic systems,
• Nutrition in cycling,
• How to use the music and how to create a mix for cycling class.

• Course attendance is mandatory 100%.
• You will receive both practical and theoretical homework.
• During the course you will have to participate in 5 practical hours (the club is optional).
• The homework, personal study hours and the 5 practical hours are mandatory in order to take part in the examination.

• Students will receive educational materials in electronic format. It is advisable to bring everything you need to take notes when the teachers ask you to.
• Filming is not allowed: only in very special moments during the course, with the consent and supervision of the teachers.
